Job Summary:

Join our team as a Carpenter in a dynamic warehouse setting. This role involves completing tasks efficiently and following policy, while crafting components for Columns, Millwork, Wall Panelling, and other architectural products. A valid forklift license is advantageous, and proficiency with machinery, hand tools, chop saw, and basic carpentry equipment is essential.

Schedule:

Mon-Thurs: 2:00 PM- 11:00 PM

Friday: OFF

Saturday: 7:30 AM- 3:30 PM

Sunday: OFF

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:

Measure, mark, and cut materials to exact specifications using various woodworking tools and equipment.
Sand, plane, or finish surfaces using hand tools or power sanders.
Read and interpret blueprints or sketches to understand project requirements.
Trim joints and assemble parts/subassemblies using glue, clamps, nails, screws, or other fastening methods to produce finished units.
Ensure accurate production, quality inspection, testing, and measurement of materials or products to meet specifications, including marking outlines or dimensions.
Package finished products for inventory storage and customer shipments, ensuring compliance with company shipping standards.
Perform quality control checks on finished products to ensure they meet established specifications, identifying and reporting defects or inconsistencies prior to packaging.
Manage online orders for production items and maintain up-to-date product knowledge.
Implement OHSA policies and adhere to safety regulations, ensuring appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn.
Assist in completing shipments after manufacturing, ensuring orders are fulfilled in full.
Coordinate with receivers to schedule quick-ship items, ensuring stock availability and proper packaging.
Nature and Scope:

Applies established processes guided by clear rules, past practices, or provided instructions, consulting a supervisor for advice on non-routine matters. Management approval is sought for any deviations from standard procedures.
Works under close supervision with limited latitude and independent judgment. Output undergoes detailed checks by supervisors and management.
Pay Structure:

This position has a starting salary of $24.00 per hour, approximately $56,000 annually, with paid lunch and breaks. After 90 days of completion, a review will take place, and you will be invited to participate in our exceptional benefits program. After one year, our standard cost of living increases annually; however, if alternative incentives are applied in advance, they may be in lieu of this.

Education and Experience:

Apprenticeship and/or woodworking certifications (Required)
Architectural Millwork: 5 years (Required)
Cabinet Maker: 5 years (Preferred)
A valid forklift license (Preferred)
Proficiency with hand tools, chop saw, and basic carpentry equipment is required.
