Job Overview

West Bros Furniture is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lacquer Sprayer / Furniture Finisher to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality finishes to solid wood and veneer furniture, ensuring a premium appearance and long-lasting durability.

The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, has strong attention to detail, and is committed to producing consistent, high-quality work in a manufacturing environment. Candidates without direct lacquer spraying experience are encouraged to apply—we are willing to train the right individual with a strong work ethic and interest in finishing.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare wood surfaces by sanding, cleaning, and inspecting prior to finishing
Apply stains, sealers, toners, and lacquer topcoats using spray equipment
Ensure proper finish build, colour consistency, and sheen levels
Inspect finished products for defects and quality standards
Perform touch-ups and corrections as required
Maintain spray guns, pumps, and finishing equipment
Follow all safety procedures related to finishing materials and equipment
Keep work area clean, organized, and efficient
Qualifications & Experience

Previous experience in furniture finishing, woodworking, or manufacturing is an asset
Experience with spray application of lacquer or similar coatings is preferred but not required
Willingness to learn finishing techniques and spray equipment operation
Familiarity with hand tools and basic shop equipment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Basic math skills for measurements and material usage
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements & Work Environment

Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
Ability to lift and move materials or components (typically up to 40–50 lbs)
Repetitive motions including sanding, spraying, and handling parts
Comfortable working in a manufacturing and finishing environment with exposure to wood dust and finishing materials
Safety & PPE Requirements

Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators/spray masks, safety glasses, gloves, and protective clothing
Adherence to all workplace health and safety procedures, including proper handling of finishing products and chemicals
Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 per week
