Spearhead Culture
Spearhead is a multi-faceted, innovation-based manufacturing company specializing in the fabrication of architecture. Over 35 years, we have grown into an industry-leading, internationally recognized organization – known for our innovative approach, strategic use of technology, and deep appreciation of craft and design. Our growing portfolio of work continues to speak to the tremendous momentum that Spearhead has created – a testament to the remarkable ingenuity, dedication, and progressiveness of the entire Spearhead team.
We strive to improve upon all we do and feel fortunate to engage with exceptional industry partners who share our vision and contribute to our relentless pursuit of excellence. Harnessing the expertise and knowledge of our entire organization, we add value to our projects through global efficiencies and masterful execution. As industry leaders in design for manufacturing and assembly (DfMA), we have built strong and enduring relationships with esteemed architects, engineers, educational institutions, and industry partners – relationships that now generate the bulk of our work and allow us to build momentum across consecutive projects.
We encourage engagement both inside and outside of the workplace by facilitating company-wide tours, recreational activities and staff events. We take pride in our positive and collaborative work environment, value the expertise and contributions of each employee, and celebrate the success of our efforts.
About the Area
Spearhead feels lucky to call Nelson home. With our state-of-the-art headquarters on a treed acreage on the North Shore and our newest urban office space in the heart of the city, we get to have it all.
Located on the west arm of Kootenay Lake, nestled in the Selkirk Mountains of British Columbia, Nelson boasts a unique mix of urban amenities and authentic small-town charm. With a vibrant downtown shopping area, a busy arts and music scene, and unlimited recreational opportunities, the City of Nelson has something for everyone. Ideal for families, pet owners, adventurers and everyone in between.
Called the gateway to the backcountry, Nelson attracts outdoor enthusiasts year-round. The mild climate and proximity to mountain trails and lakes make for world-class skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing in the winter, as well as paddling, hiking, fishing, climbing, and mountain biking in the summer.
If speeding down a mountainside isn’t your idea of fun, Downtown Nelson has plenty to offer, too. With blocks of boutiques, alluring back lanes, art galleries, restaurants, pubs, and live music venues, the town is bustling with locals and visitors alike. So, whether you head into the hills for an adventure, lounge by the lake or visit one of the many community events in town, chances are Nelson has something for you.
