All Wood Fine Interiors is seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Senior Estimator to join our team specializing in custom architectural millwork. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing precise and competitive cost estimates by analyzing architectural drawings, specifications, and client requirements. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the profitability and successful execution of each project from concept to completion.<\/p>\n
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Experience with preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for millwork construction projects.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Analyze project drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine scope and materials.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Calculate material, labour, and time costs for woodworking and cabinetry projects.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Create material takeoffs and labour estimates according to specifications.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Use estimating software Innergy to streamline the process.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Solicit subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Develop detailed and competitive proposals for clients.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ensure all estimates align with company objectives and client expectations.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Review design options and recommend best solutions based on cost, quality, and availability.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Estimate quantification and costing of general conditions, labour, and equipment.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Coordinate with project managers, designers, and production teams to assess project scope and feasibility.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Attend site visits as required to gather project-specific information.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Maintain communication with clients, vendors, and team members for project clarity.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Lead project handover meetings and support project setup post-award.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Assist in value engineering efforts by proposing cost-effective alternatives.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Hands-on understanding of woodworking, cabinetry, materials, and fabrication techniques.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Stay current on industry pricing, materials, and fabrication trends.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Analyze completed projects to compare estimated vs. actual costs and identify discrepancies.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating processes and tools.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Identify project risks and cost-saving opportunities during estimation.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Evaluate and recommend allowances for indirect costs, contingencies, and escalation.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Collaborate with suppliers to obtain pricing on materials, finishes, and hardware.<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE\/EXPERIENCE:<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Minimum 5-10 years of experience in estimating within architectural millwork, cabinetry, or related construction trades.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Strong knowledge of millwork materials, construction methods, and joinery techniques.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and estimating software (Innergy)<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Hands-on experience in woodworking or cabinetmaking is a strong asset. Experience preparing both conceptual and detailed estimates for design-build or high-end architectural projects.<\/p>\n

Successful applicants will require experience completing quantity take-offs within the Millwork scope, reviewing architectural specifications, collaborating with customers and providing accurate and timely quotations. Millwork estimating experience is required.<\/p>\n<p>There is an active sales and customer-development component to this role, so a positive and outgoing communication style is a necessity. To succeed in this role, the individual will require an attention to detail, a customer-first service approach and a passion for construction. Our compensation package includes a competitive base salary and annual bonus, paid vacation time, health and benefit coverage and a fun and collaborative workplace.
