Includes supporting end customer, sales and stores. Key objectives in the role are to enhance overall quality of the product produced and guide the plants focusing on areas of improvement.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reports to:<\/strong>\u00a0Quality Supervisor<\/p>\n<p><strong>Direct Reports:<\/strong>\u00a0Quality technicians<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Oversee the day-to-day responsibilities of the Quality technicians.<br \/>\nFollow up on White Glove jobs and complete inspections along with Quality technicians.<br \/>\nPerform daily quality checks incase Quality Technicians have absences.<br \/>\nWork with cutting\/finishing and assembly inspectors to\u00a0train on\u00a0quality standards.<br \/>\nManage the Quality KPI\/Metrics scorecard including the development and support of all Quality data sources (warranty, external auding, daily team tracker).<br \/>\nGenerate Quality specific report and PPT\u2019s as required.<br \/>\nRepresent Quality at all applicable meetings.<br \/>\nOversee the document control process including managing the master index spreadsheet.<br \/>\nDevelop and revise departmental Quality documents as\u00a0required-policies, SOP, OPL etc.<br \/>\nWorking with the Quality Manager,\u00a0develop\u00a0Superior Cabinets QMS-Quality Management System.<br \/>\nUse Quality data\/pareto information to identify ongoing\u00a0top issues and act using lean methodology\/six sigma to address those issues, including leading Kaizens.<br \/>\nTake action to address substandard quality identified either internally or externally. Use the PDCA approach to address the opportunities and ensure adequate feedback to key stakeholders.<br \/>\nPerform Quality\u00a0Assurance\u00a0new\u00a0Employee\u00a0orientation as\u00a0required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Skills &amp; Abilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.<br \/>\nLean Belt or Six Sigma certification would be considered an asset.<br \/>\nASQ-ISO lead-auditor training would be considered an asset.<br \/>\nExcellent communication skills (verbal, written, listening).<br \/>\nStrong organization and problem-solving skills.<br \/>\nAbility to take directions and execute tasks and projects on time while ensuring quality of work and meeting targets.<br \/>\nStrong ability to lead teams to execute Kaizens and problem solve.<br \/>\nAbility to adapt quickly to new tasks and changing priorities.<br \/>\nPhysically fit, able to lift to 50lbs.<br \/>\nThe willingness to learn and support multiple departments, including external customers.<br \/>\nReliable,\u00a0punctual\u00a0and a strong team player.<\/p>\n<p><em>These responsibilities are not intended to be\u00a0all-inclusive.
