They build relationships with all stakeholders, ensure compliance, and ensure policies and procedures are expertly communicated.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reports to:<\/strong>\u00a0Health &amp; Safety Supervisor<\/p>\n<p><strong>Direct Reports:<\/strong>\u00a0None<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Manufacturing\u00a0Plant<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ensure compliance with all current safety legislation.<br \/>\nConduct daily safety walks through both facilities; identifying PPE conformance, safety concerns, etc.<br \/>\nManage Safety Program and suggest continuous improvements whiles identifying opportunities to promote a zero-incident safety culture.<br \/>\nDevelop, update, and review safety-related policies and ensure safe work procedures are in place for all required procedures.<br \/>\nConduct safety orientation for new employees and contractors, ensuring the information is current.<br \/>\nConduct internal safety training and maintain an accurate safety training record.<br \/>\nAssist manufacturing employees to conduct job hazard analyses and conduct periodic machine inspections.<br \/>\nConduct safety audits with plant leadership ensuring recommendations are communicated and implemented.<br \/>\nAssist in root cause analyses on all accidents and near misses and ensure recommendations are communicated and implemented.<br \/>\nProcess all necessary documentation including incident reports for work-related and non-work-related injuries.<br \/>\nCoordinate return-to-work programs.<br \/>\nManage first aid kits and emergency equipment and ensure safety supplies are adequately stocked.<br \/>\nEnsure safety records and documentation is current and organized and update safety information stations at each plant.<br \/>\nConduct ergonomic assessments.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Skills and Abilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Strong interpersonal skills.<br \/>\nStrong Organizational skills.<br \/>\nExperience administering safety programs.<br \/>\nPrevious experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Education and\/or Training:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Excellent knowledge of current safety legislations.<br \/>\nPost-secondary education in a safety-related program or equivalent experience.<br \/>\nCOR certification is an asset.<br \/>\nProficient with Microsoft Office.<\/p>\n<p><em>These responsibilities are not intended to be all-inclusive.
