Potvin Construction in Rockland is offering an immediate full-time cabinet plan technician position to experienced candidates who are motivated, organized, detail oriented. This person must be experienced in cabinet fabrication techniques, field measuring and site survey, construction plan reading and space planning & design. Basic knowledge of house construction details is also required.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Produce shop drawings, engineer custom casework and prepare production paperwork using Cabinet Vision Software.
\nProduce CNC programs for shop production.
\nWork in conjunction with the Production Manager and production staff to efficiently implement CNC equipment.
\nReview, analyze and interpret specifications and architectural drawings.
\nReview take-offs and project details with the project manager to determine the requirements of the project.
\nProduce preliminary technical drawings, develop plans and models for projects.
\nRevise shop drawings and final engineering of product to meet field conditions.
\nProduce work orders based on final engineering of products.
\nCreate detailed shop drawings, diagrams, and instructions to complete work orders.
\nOptimize final material requirements for projects and piece specific materials take-off.
\nProvide ongoing support to project management team as required throughout the course of the project, including shop drawings, revising shop drawings, material requisition and engineering.
\nAnalyze, develop, and improve engineering processes through waste reduction, error proofing and design standardization.
\nUnderstand and apply AWS Standards.
\nQualifications:<\/p>\n
Extensive Cabinet Vision Experience.
\nIndustry specific experience.
\nProficiency in nested base CNC production.
\nKnowledge and experience in operating CNC machines.
\nProficiency in AutoCAD\u2019s full suite of products.
\nExperience working in AlphaCAM or equivalent production software.
\nMust be extremely detail oriented and have the ability to prioritize and manage complex projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
\nAdvanced computer and applications knowledge.
\nAbility to provide accurate answers and explain deviations to general contractors and engineers.
\nMust possess strong organization skills.
\nMust possess strong math skills.
\nMust be team oriented, working well with peers and management.
\nMust have good oral and written communication skills.
\nExcellent problem-solving abilities.
