All Wood Fine Interiors is seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Estimator to join our team specializing in custom architectural millwork. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing precise and competitive cost estimates by analyzing architectural drawings, specifications, and client requirements. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the profitability and successful execution of each project from concept to completion.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Technical Knowledge & Experience:
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in estimating within architectural millwork, cabinetry, or related construction trades.
Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Strong knowledge of millwork materials, construction methods, and joinery techniques.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and estimating software (Innergy)
Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability negotiate and collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and part of a team and be able to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
Strong understanding of millwork processes, materials, and machinery
Have knowledge of various materials used in the industry i.e., metal, wood, acrylic, glass etc.
Ability to read and interpret Structural & Architectural drawings and specifications accurately.
Knowledge of construction structures, materials, and processes
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Experience with preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for millwork construction projects.
Analyze project drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine scope and materials.
Calculate material, labour, and time costs for woodworking and cabinetry projects.
Create material takeoffs and labour estimates according to specifications.
Use estimating software Innergy to streamline the process.
Solicit subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
Develop detailed and competitive proposals for clients.
Ensure all estimates align with company objectives and client expectations.
Review design options and recommend best solutions based on cost, quality, and availability.
Estimate quantification and costing of general conditions, labour, and equipment.
Coordinate with project managers, designers, and production teams to assess project scope and feasibility.
Attend site visits as required to gather project-specific information.
Maintain communication with clients, vendors, and team members for project clarity.
Lead project handover meetings and support project setup post-award.
Assist in value engineering efforts by proposing cost-effective alternatives.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Hands-on understanding of woodworking, cabinetry, materials, and fabrication techniques.
Stay current on industry pricing, materials, and fabrication trends.
Analyze completed projects to compare estimated vs. actual costs and identify discrepancies.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating processes and tools.
Identify project risks and cost-saving opportunities during estimation.
Evaluate and recommend allowances for indirect costs, contingencies, and escalation.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
Collaborate with suppliers to obtain pricing on materials, finishes, and hardware.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
Have knowledge of Bluebeam and Innergy software programs
Hands-on experience in woodworking or cabinetmaking is a strong asset.
Experience preparing both conceptual and detailed estimates for design-build or high-end architectural projects.
Familiarity with Ontario Building Code or local regulations (if applicable).
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Appropriate and relevant educational background and training, supported by ongoing professional development.
Experience working with construction and contractors within a manufacturing environment.
Ability to work with a diverse group of people and build interpersonal connections and trust.
