Manufacturing high quality custom cabinetry

We are seeking an experienced Shop Foreman / Custom Millwork Fabricator to lead our cabinetry shop and produce high-quality custom millwork. This role combines hands-on fabrication with leadership responsibilities, overseeing shop production from drawings to completed pieces ready for installation.

The ideal candidate is a skilled craftsman with strong leadership abilities, a keen eye for detail, and experience managing shop workflow while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

● Lead and manage a team of shop craftsmen, directing daily workflow and production schedules

● Enforce shop safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment

● Maintain strict quality control standards on all cabinetry and custom millwork

● Collaborate with project managers and schedulers to meet project timelines and production goals

● Read and interpret shop drawings and specifications accurately

● Troubleshoot production challenges and implement effective solutions

● Fabricate custom components including cabinetry, range hoods, island posts, floating shelves, and specialty pieces

● Operate woodworking machinery, power tools, and hand tools safely and efficiently

● Mentor and support shop staff to foster a positive and productive work environment Qualifications
● Minimum 5+ years of cabinetry and custom millwork experience

● Minimum 3+ years in a foreman or shop leadership role

● Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship

● Proficient with woodworking machines, tools, and fabrication techniques

● Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

● Strong communication and collaboration skills between office staff and shop crew

● Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Position Details

● Full-time position

● 40 hours per week

● Permanent employment after a 3-month probationary period
