LTR Industries (Ottawa) Limited supplies Commercial Millwork to the general construction industry, Interior Designers and individual commercial/residential clients and offers complete design/build services, or pre-costed tendered jobs.

LTR Industries is looking for a Project Manager to join our growing team. Reporting directly to the General Manager, your duties will include:

Manage a variety of concurrent projects, providing general oversight and ensuring all work is completed on time and on budget. Prepare progress reports to clients.
Prepare work schedules with input from design engineering and production. Responsible for overall scheduling of assigned projects. Includes:
Scheduling of site measurements,
Scheduling of site installation by LTR employees / LTR subcontractors. Negotiate installation terms with LTR subcontractors. Deal with any installation issues.
Deal with scheduling issues as they arise and determine next steps.
Creation of plans to efficiently use materials, labor, and equipment to meet production targets.
Responsible for purchasing and tracking of all production materials for each assigned project within set purchasing limits. Monitor for overages on labor and / or purchases.
Responsible for upkeep of project binders, schedules for assigned projects
Follow the LTR production flow process on all project assignments
Help resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
Work with appropriate customer staff to ensure projects are progressing as planned and any issues or concerns are resolved.
Establish and implement policies, goals, objectives and procedures regarding LTR project management conferring with the General Manager and other staff, as necessary.
Communicate regularly with the General Manager with updates on key activities.
Positively promote LTR in all dealings with vendors, clients and staff. Carry out any relationship management with vendors and clients, delegated by the President.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

You will bring:

2-5 years of Millwork Project Management experience

Completion of Project Management certificate or Business Administration

Excellent understanding of manufacturing and project management

Technical Skills:

Ability to read and understand blueprints
Experience using the follow software an asset: QuickBooks, AutoCAD, Microvellum, SketchUp, Microsoft suite of software, including Outlook, any Project management software
Report creation ability

Competencies:

Excellent management, negotiating and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to achieve results
Sound judgment and decision-making skills with ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and choose the appropriate course of action.
Ability to identify measures of performance and actions needed to improve or correct performance.
Possess prioritization skills necessary to use time effectively and set action plans to achieve targets.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Works well under pressure and meets deadlines
Works effectively in an entrepreneurial, team based collaborative environment
Demonstrated relationship-building skills
