Wood Finisher preps wood and wood products for finishing, by sanding, filling, distressing, applying waxes or pastes, and other treatments, etc. And applies a variety of finishes in a 1000sq foot spray room, like stains, lacquers (solid colour or clear) varnishes, interior and exterior rated products, paints, thinners, catalysts, and glazes using a multitude of techniques to do so. Stain and Colour matching is part of the job, and so is preparing samples for customer review. Recordings of finishes used are to be filled out in logbooks, and finishes and supplies for room to be ordered. Clean paint booth and finishing equipment. Filling out material work orders and shipping labels are to be filled out on each project. Willing to assist in other departments as need arises. The finisher would have to be responsible for knowing and practicing safe working methods.
