SHIPPER/RECEIVER/FORKLIFT OPERATOR

Victoria Strong Manufacturing is looking for SHIPPER/RECEIVER/FORKLIFT OPERATOR to join our growing team.

In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the timely, accurate and secure shipping & receiving of all materials. You are a well-rounded candidate with a positive attitude, and an incredible eye for detail. Must be comfortable communicating with internal & external stakeholders and take ownership of challenges to help the organization progress.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Examine shipments received against bills of lading, invoices, purchase orders and/or any other related documents to ensure discrepancies or damages are identified, recorded, and brought to the office.
Sort incoming supplies and materials, placing them in designated locations.
Operate forklift to unload, load , transport or store goods in designated locations.
Responsible for inventory count of all trim and MDF in stock.
Maintain shipping and receiving area organized by ensuring a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Preparing & releasing inventory against work orders by office request.
Identify, bundle, and label a full house order to prepare for shipping.
Quality order control before the shipment
Calculate returns and document the quantities.

TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

·Minimum 1- 3 year(s) experience in shipping and receiving.
Knowledge of logistics, warehousing operations, shipping procedures and documentation.
Possess multi-tasking abilities and teamwork skills
Highly organized and able to follow directions, work independently and in a team environment.
Knowledge of health and safety procedures
Some experience in inventory management, budgeting, and reporting
Experience in inbound, outbound shipments and paperwork processing
Experience in communicating with service providers, brokers, for releases, deliveries, & tracking shipments.
PERSONAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Organized with good time management, interpersonal, verbal, written, and communication skills
Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
Proven ability to prioritize responsibilities and processes.
Works effectively to meet deadlines
Valid Forklift License is required
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: From $20.50 per hour
