West Furniture Co. Inc. is seeking a Product Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of our high-quality bedroom and dining room furniture. With a reputation for craftsmanship, sustainability, and innovation, we manufacture furniture from premium materials such as Soft Maple, White Oak, and Walnut, proudly serving both Canadian and US markets.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BoM), and route sheets.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure efficient production processes.
Manage engineering changes and maintain documentation standards.
Conduct quality assurance testing and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ASTM, BIFMA).
Optimize designs for manufacturability and sustainability.

What We’re Looking For:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related fields.
Graduates of programs like Conestoga College Woodworking Co-op or UBC Centre for Advanced Woodworking are highly encouraged to apply.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and ERP systems (e.g., Epicor).
3+ years of experience in product engineering, preferably in furniture manufacturing.
Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
