Bowerman’s is a custom Cabinetry and Millwork company in Squamish BC. We have been creating high-quality custom cabinetry and millwork for clients from the Whistler to Vancouver for over 20 years.

Job Overview
We are currently seeking a CNC Programmer (Microvellum Specialist) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for programming, optimizing, and maintaining CNC machining files to ensure efficient and high-quality production of custom millwork and cabinetry.

Responsibilities

  • Create, modify, and maintain Microvellum-based CNC programs for cabinet and millwork components based on detailed shop drawings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and project managers to ensure accurate interpretation of project plans and design intent.
  • Generate detailed cut lists, part labels, and machine-ready files for 4 Axis CNC machine.
  • Optimize nesting strategies to maximize material yield and CNC efficiency.
  • Maintain and improve programming standards and templates within
  • Microvellum to increase speed, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Conduct dry runs and troubleshoot CNC operators to identify and resolve issues before production.
  • Maintain a clean and organized file structure for project archives and production use.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience using Microvellum in a millwork or custom cabinetry environment (required).
  • Strong understanding of woodworking production methods, materials, and machining processes.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and understanding of CAD-to-CAM workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with CNC routers and related equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret architectural and shop drawings.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt quickly to changes in schedule or scope.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.
