Galloway Bros Construction is looking for an experienced Cabinetmaker / Furniture Maker to join our growing woodworking shop in Parksville.

We are an established Vancouver Island construction company specializing in high-end custom homes, renovations, custom millwork and furniture. Our woodworking division is expanding, including custom cabinetry and a growing line of furniture and casegoods for the luxury hotel industry.

The Work
This is not a repetitive production cabinet position. Our projects vary considerably and include:

Custom kitchens, vanities and built-ins
Frameless cabinetry
Architectural millwork
Custom solid-wood furniture
High-end hotel furniture and casegoods
One-off and small/medium production runs
You’ll work with plywood, MDF and solid lumber and be involved in projects from machining through assembly and preparation for finishing.

Our well-equipped shop includes a sliding panel saw, edgebander, line boring equipment, jointer/planer, bandsaw, 44″ wide-belt sander, professional finishing facilities and material-handling equipment.

Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone with previous experience in cabinetmaking, architectural millwork or furniture makingwho:

Can read drawings and cut lists
Is comfortable operating professional woodworking equipment
Has experience with cabinet construction and hardware
Can work accurately and independently
Has strong attention to detail
Takes pride in producing high-quality work
Is dependable and works well as part of a small team
Red Seal certification is an asset but is not required. Experience, ability and quality of workmanship are more important to us.

Wage: $32–$40/hour depending on experience and ability.
