Jean M. Savignac General Woodwork Ltd

Built on Family. Defined by Precision.

Are you an experienced Commercial Millwork Assembler who takes pride in precision, quality craftsmanship, and meeting deadlines? Do you enjoy building custom architectural millwork that becomes part of schools, hospitals, laboratories, offices, and commercial spaces across Ontario?

If so, we’d love to meet you.

For over 50 years, Savignac has been a trusted, family-owned commercial millwork manufacturer serving clients throughout Ontario. As a proud AWMAC member, we are committed to delivering exceptional quality while providing a positive workplace where employees can grow, learn, and build long-term careers.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Commercial Millwork Assembler to join our production team.

About The Role
As a Commercial Millwork Assembler, you’ll be responsible for assembling high-quality custom architectural millwork from detailed shop drawings while ensuring every project meets our quality standards and production schedules.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Assembling custom commercial cabinetry, casework, reception desks, laboratory millwork, wall panelling, and specialty architectural millwork.
Reading and interpreting shop drawings, assembly drawings, and work orders with minimal supervision.
Working independently to assemble projects accurately and efficiently from start to finish.
Installing hardware, drawer slides, hinges, shelving systems, locks, grommets, countertops, and specialty components.
Using power drills, impact drivers, pneumatic tools, routers, clamps, measuring tools, and various hand tools safely and confidently.
Working with a variety of materials, including laminate, melamine, veneer, MDF, plywood, solid wood, solid surface, and specialty commercial products.
Inspecting parts prior to assembly to ensure quality and accuracy.
Troubleshooting minor fit-up issues and making adjustments when required.
Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Collaborating with machinists, CNC operators, and finishing staff to keep projects moving efficiently.
Helping ensure projects leave the shop complete, accurate, and ready for installation.

Required Qualifications
2+ years of commercial millwork assembly experience (preferred).
Experience assembling custom architectural millwork—not residential kitchen cabinets.
Ability to confidently read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints.
Strong knowledge of commercial cabinet construction and assembly methods.
Comfortable using power drills, impact drivers, pneumatic tools, and standard woodworking equipment.
Experience working with laminates, veneers, melamine, plywood, MDF, hardwoods, and other commercial millwork materials.
Excellent measuring skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to identify quality concerns before products leave the assembly area.

We’re Looking for Someone Who Is:
✔ Independent and self-motivated

✔ Reliable and dependable—you show up ready to work every day

✔ Goal-oriented and takes pride in meeting production targets

✔ Able to work efficiently while maintaining exceptional quality

✔ Comfortable working under tight deadlines without sacrificing craftsmanship
