POSITION SUMMARY:

Setup, develop and maintain Potvin’s Cabinet Vision libraries for all product lines. Assure that product lines are error free and presented to internal Cabinet Vision users and external recipients of shop drawings in the most ergonomic and efficient way.

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following responsibilities are general duties in this position. The actual duties required of this position may vary as the position and responsibilities develop.

Setup and develop new product lines in Cabinet Vision.
Maintain and improve existing product lines in Cabinet Vision.
Work in conjunction with the Production Manager and production staff to efficiently implement CNC equipment.
Provide support to engineering and drafting teams in daily production or shop drawing releases, as needed.
Manage updates to new releases of Cabinet Vision.
Train drafters and engineers on use of Cabinet Vision.
At creation of new product lines or when product line changes.
Participate in new employee on-boarding / training.
Solicit input from drafters, engineers, sales and other stakeholders to improve product lines in Cabinet Vision.
Design functional reports from Cabinet Vision.
Proactively includes department supervisors in discussions if guidance is needed.
Analyze, develop, and improve engineering processes through waste reduction, error proofing and design standardization.
Help streamline process from shop drawings to fabrication
Document processes and procedures.
Train coworkers and transfer knowledge within the organization.
Follows all safety policies and procedures.
Performs other job-relate duties as assign.

 

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

Extensive Cabinet Vision Experience (expert level)
Cabinet engineering and manufacturing industry specific experience.
Proficiency in nested base CNC production.
Knowledge and experience in operating CNC machines.
Proficiency in AutoCAD’s full suite of products.
Experience working in WebCab or equivalent production software.
Must be extremely detail oriented and have the ability to prioritize and manage complex projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Advanced computer and applications knowledge.
Ability to provide accurate answers and explain deviations to general contractors and engineers.
Must possess strong organization skills.
Must possess strong math skills.
Must be team oriented, working well with peers and management.
Must have good oral and written communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities.
Excellent technical analytical and reasoning skills.
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Ability to consistently meet due dates.
Ability to work under constant pressure.
